Mounted Trio

Mounted Trio

The Mounted Trio has gained the reputation as the UK’s number 1 one-pass stubble cultivator. As the name suggests, the Trio comprises of three parts, each of these finely tuned to create a seedbed from stubble in one pass, an objective achieved by the vast majority of users.

Trailed Trio

Trailed Trio

One-pass seed bed preparation. The Trio alleviates sub-surface compaction and mixes stubble and soil, leaving a level surface ready for seeding. Due to no weight or length restriction, the proven elements of the Trio range have been extended to further improve trash flow.

Mixidisc

Mixidisc

The versatile multifunctional Mixidisc is available in both mounted and trailed versions. This is designed for high speed stubble cultivation post-harvest to quickly incorporate and mulch large volumes of crop residues, and create a micro tilth in the soil for fast germination of volunteers and weed seeds and to create a stale seedbed in one pass. In addition, the Mixidisc can also be used for seedbed preparation, straw harrowing or furrow leveling after ploughing, with low power requirement.

Strake

A versatile implement that offers a multitude of benefits and enables a number of post-cultivations operations to be carried out at high speed with minimal fuel usage. The superior frame build quality and tine design allows forward speeds of 10 – 25kmh, giving unrivalled performance even in the hardest ground.

Low Disturbance Subsoiler

The LDS has the ability to alleviate compaction with the absolute minimum of surface disturbance, allowing water and oxygen infiltration. Specifically designed to work in conjunction with zero- and minimal-tillage establishment systems, it has a serrated straight cutting disc that cuts a clear slot in trashy high residue conditions for the following loosening leg.

Grassland Subsoiler

The sub-surface shatter created by the GLS revitalises compacted sward, by improving drainage and root development, and allowing more air to get into the soil; resulting in increased fungal/bacterial activity in addition to enabling worm populations to flourish. The end result is a soil environment that is conducive to maximum grass growth and stronger plants that are better suited to withstand periods of prolonged rainfall or drought.

Subsoiler

Subsoiler

The V-shaped frame of the Subsoiler enables more efficient trash flow through, allowing the legs to be run close together, giving total loosening across the width of the implement. Due to the design of the Subsoiler point/leg arrangement the forward-mounted point creates a wedge under the soil, lifting and cracking the profile ahead of the leg to open a slot for the leg to run through, reducing the amount of power needed to move forward in the ground. This aggressive action leaves the surface raised by 50 – 100mm to increases aeration. The Sumo range of Subsoilers can also be used as a secondary source of cultivation, in most cases leaving the surface ready to drill.

Front Multipacka

The front linkage-mounted Front Multipacka is designed to reduce the number of cultivation passes required to create a seedbed by firming and levelling the ground ahead of the following implement. A high degree of manoeuvrability is retained through the incorporation of a steering headstock, and consolidation is by either rigid tines or levelling paddles, both at 250mm spacings, working ahead of shouldered toothed press rings.

Rippa

Rippa

Designed to work down to 406mm (16ins) deep, to remove plough pan compaction, the Rippa is ideally suited for use by potato growers after ploughing to mix and aerate the soil ahead of bedformers or tillers, and for primary cultivations post-harvest.

Deep Tillage Seeder

Deep Tillage Seeder

The DTS is specifically designed to enable farmers and contractors to exploit the advantages of strip-tillage, but with the versatility to be equally effective in plough-based and minimal tillage systems. Strip-Tillage is a one-pass establishment system that combines the soil drying and warming benefits of minimal tillage with the soil protecting advantages of direct (no-till) drilling, by creating a seedbed only where the seed is to be planted leaving the soil in-between the bands undisturbed.

Direct Drill

Optimum seed placement with minimal soil disturbance are the major benefits of the DD, a disc-based drill designed for zero-till crop establishment as part of integrated conservation agriculture, benefiting the environment and increasing margins. Possible savings that can be achieved by adopting a DD system are a 70% cost saving/ha over conventional tillage and a 55% saving over minimal tillage, with labour savings/ha of 80% and 55%, respectively. The minimal soil disturbance element of the DD technique provides additional benefits, including improved soil structure, easier grass weed control, moisture retention in the rooting zone, reduced erosion, improvements in drainage and the ability to integrate cover crops into the rotation.

DD Toolbar

DD Toolbar

The DD Toolbar system provides a flexible solution to crop establishment by giving farmers and contractors the means of easily operating two very different sowing methods for minimal purchase cost.
Developed for use in conjunction with a front-mounted hopper, the DD toolbar is an ultra-low disturbance disc drill designed to work into a zero- or no-till seed bed, previous crop residues and cover crops, the design of the system and the action and sequence of the soil-engaging elements providing a well-balanced unit and a consistent seeding depth. Optional equipment includes a hydraulic weight transfer unit designed to use some of the tractor’s weight to help coulter penetration if and when required.

Front Hopper

Front Hopper

The Front Hopper is designed to complement any rear-mounted implement and enables up to 1000kg of grain or fertiliser to be accurately dispensed via the Sumo ORGA metering system. An RDS Artemis controller enables variable rate application from 1.0 – 350kg/ha for a varying range of products and a hydraulic fan and road lights are standard.

Sumoseeder

Sumoseeder

The time and money saving benefits of Trio seeding OSR, with the added bonus of moisture retention, and more often than not a yield increase, has led to a large percentage of the UK crop now being being established with the one-pass technique. The versatile Sumoseeder will fit to the back of virtually all the cultivators and Subsoilers in the Sumo range to allow the application of a large variety of products from small seeds like OSR or mustard to micro-granule fertilisers and slug pellets. Extremely accurate and even product flow, regardless of density or consistency, is provided by the new Sumo ORGA (patent applied for) metering system, a simple design with easy access for calibrating, emptying and cleaning.

Single Disc Opener

Single Disc Opener

The SDO is designed for the placement of seed at an accurate and consistent depth when sowing OSR behind a subsoiler or one-pass cultivator, eliminating the variables that can occur with traditional band-sowing methods and therefore significantly increasing the plant establishment percentage. Seeding depth is governed by a firming wheel, which ensures good seed-to-soil contact and prevents moisture loss behind the sown row.
